We believe in the power of first hand experiences. Our sleep away camps provide a unique opportunity for school groups to celebrate the natural world through arts and crafts, music, theatre and whole food adventures.

Our sleep away camps take place at The Quadrangle Trust, situated near Shoreham Kent, in the heart of the Garden of England. Located within privately owned estate land, our camp sits in an idyllic setting in the Darent Valley next to the river and close to water meadows with plentiful woodland surrounding the camp: an ideal place for a child to learn and explore in the changing seasons.

Outdoor adventure

Our passionate and vibrant team encourage the children to connect with and celebrate their natural environment. This means getting out and exploring the woods, fields, farms, streams, rivers and ponds to learn from and through nature.

Living in harmony

log We inspire our campers to become independent and resourceful young people who work with their natural environment. They harvest their own meals from the walled garden, prepare them in our kitchen to be cooked on the campfire or in the cob oven.

The arts inspired by nature

camera Inspired by outdoor adventures, professional artists teach the children how to knit, weave, mould, sculpt, carve, paint and build using natural materials. The camp ends with a musical performance inspired by their adventures across the week.

A team inspired by nature

headdress Our team of experienced and inspirational mentors bring a sense of joy and dedication to their role. We work tirelessly to ensure all children on camp make the most of their time with us.

Accommodation & groups

Map At the Quadrangle Trust we spend our nights tucked up under the stars in traditional bell tents pitched in the beautiful, spacious field. The camp has a capacity of 30 children and staff will sleep in tents in the same field for the entire stay.
Group 1: 7-10 years
Group 2: 11-14 years

Children of the same age are placed together in groups of 8 or less with a male or female mentor. These mentors stay with the group all week enabling rapport and friendships to build up and ensuring positive group dynamics are fostered.

Security

Map The safety of the children at The Quadrangle Trust is paramount. All of our activities and the camp environment are carefully designed with full risk assessments are carried out. The general public are prohibited from the site, and gates and signposts clearly mark the boundaries. All staff are DBS checked and children are supervised at all times.

Facilities

Map The group will have the use of reliable hot water shower blocks as well as clean, flushing toilets. We have a large barn for dining and gatherings, a campfire circle, an on-site allotment and forest garden and plenty of dedicated green spaces for free play allowing the children to enjoy a rich and varied on-camp experience.
